Today is the birthday of  Ted Williams.   Also of  Tug McGraw.  What different personalities. The studious hitter with the reticent personality.          The outgoing pitcher with the optimistic exhuberance. There is room enough for all types. We celebrate both men. Both made positive contributions to the game that they and we love. Important lessons can be learned from both.
